Welcome to ArtModo

Artmodo exhibits works primarily by northern English artists.

Some of our artists are new and emerging, others are more well known in the art world, such as Will Turner, the Manchester artist born in 1920 and Adrian Rigby, the Chorley/Blackpool artist renowned for his wildlife art and Titanic series prints.

Gabriella

Nebula XII

An artist from West Yorkshire, Gabriella brings a mathematical perspective to art. Indeed mathematics can sometimes be seen as pure art! She has been developing her style which is mostly based on fractals which she augments with other techniques.

Fractal Art uses mathematical formulae to produce shapes but it is just as valid as using a brush, pencil, 3D materials. How the shapes are combined, coloured, arranged is the real art. The beauty of Fractal Art is that it originates in a digital form and can be applied to various media relatively easily with modern printing methods, whether the result is on canvas, poster, projection, motorbike fairings, ceramics or tea-shirts!

Rachel Johns

Graduating in 2000 with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Cumbria College of Art & Design, Rachel has continued to develop her work. She enjoys the use of line as a means of expression, often exploring machine stitch or ink applied with sticks as tools and medium.
